    M 571 (version 3.2)/Pc chips; energy management problems with win 98

    Dear visitors,

    I have the M 571 mainboard, since I installed win 98 I do have problems with the energy management in win 98. I do have the ami 1.0A bios; from 1996, released 8/31/98.

    Does some one have the same motherboard/ problems ?

    I'm happy with every reaction.

    Hi!

    The M571's power management works a lot better with BIOS from 9/1998 or later; the latest one posted is from Jan 29, 1999. No problems here with v3.2A in W98 (w/ AT power supply, never tried ATX power supply with this board).

    Visit ftp.pcchips.com.tw/BIOS/M571, and enter the appropriate subdirectory for a BIOS matching your board version.
