Need help to reset CMOS!
I used KillCMOS to reset the CMOS from windows 98 and it stopped to boot and some error codes came up indicating that there were some undefined date and configuration errors. It also asked for power-on password an di passed it to the next error screen. The everything sopped there.
I am wondering whether I can reset CMOS by resetting the CMOS pins ? But how?
Thanks

You can use the clear cmos jumper and it should go back to the original settings that were on the board when you first assembled it. (I hope you made your system.) If you can't find the jumper, make sure the system is off, pull the battery, and use a piece of wire or similar object and short out the positive and negative prongs of the battery holder. (this is the same thing as using your jumper, sometimes all you have to do is pull the battery and wait for a minute.) The short-out trick is used for some old bios on 486 mbs that will not let go of their settings) Hope this helps!!!
