    PC Chips M577 Mainboard

    Hi all , well I bought a pcchips M577
atleast I thought I did. My problem is that
I know its made by PC CHIPS and it matches
the M577 except for 1 thing. It has 3 DIMM
slots and 0 Simm. The spec on PC CHIPS says
the M577 has 2 SIMM and 3 DIMM. Now I could
care less about simm , I just want the correct specs for my board. If anyone has
this board or can help please.

    Thanks !!!!!!!!

    Hi!

The SIMM sockets were populated only on earlier versions of the M577. From PCB version 3.0 onward like those we use here, they weren't populated any longer, although the traces and mounts for the sockets are there. Other things remained unchanged, so the specs you have should be correct other than for the SIMM sockets.

    Regards, Peter
