Tips for new MB install into existing system.

I am installing a new MB into my system which has been up and running for 10 months now. Currently consists of the following:

    Win95 OSR2
    96mb SDRAM (not PC100)
    4.3g Quantum Fireball
    Matrox Millenium I 2mb
    Orchard Righteous 3D I
    AudioPCI sound
    External Diamond Supra 56k v90
Cyrix PR233 (soon to be AMD K6-2 350 or 400)
    32x CD-Rom

I am replacing a M-tech R-581a (broken heatsink/fan retaining tab on MB) with an Epox MVP3C-M.

I have heard that prior to replacing the board, I should go into device manager and remove all installed components so Win95 will reinstall them after install of the new MB. Is this a good idea and do you have any other suggestions regarding this upgrade? Any help appreciated. Thanks

    West

Just install the board per mfr's instructions and fire it up. Have your W95 CD handy. You may be asked for it during the first boot.

also pays to copy your w95 cab files on to the hard drive in case you can't get access to your cd rom, wouldn't be too concerned about removing the the devices.
