    ASUS P2B Problem

    Running Celeron 333 with Win 95 sr2 and getting PCI serial controller error in device manager (yellow !) I installed the BX patch and all other drivers from cd. What's up??

    try a new bios. latest version is 1007.
    if it doesn't help: install Win98 this should help.
    other way wait for Win2k )

    I'm using 2 Asus P2B boards now. When I assembled the first one I used the patch that came on the CD. It caused nothing but problems! After trying numerous things to find out what was causing my problems. I reformatted the drive and reinstalled Windows 98. It worked fine, with all the peripherrals, after the install. I then proceeded to install the patch and I was having the same problems all over again, mainly with the sound card (AWE 64). I noticed that it got flakey after the patch, so I uninstalled it. Ever since then, I don't use the patch. Systems are working GREAT now.
