Modula Tech Motherboard
I am refurbishing a computer for a local charity. Its a no name computer and has a 486 VLB motherboard with a SIS 85C471 chip set. The board currently has a 25 mHz 486SX processor. I would like to replace the processor with an AMD 40 mHz 486. Problem is I don't know how to reconfigure the jumpers since there was no manual with the computer. The AMI bios string is 40-0000-001266-00101111-080893-sis471b-0 which apparently means that is was manufacutred by a Tiwanese company called Modula Tech Co. Ltd. I can't seem to locate this company or any information about this motherboard. The motherboard looks like it supports 3.3v cpu's as well so upgrading to 120 mHz seems possible. The motherboard is totally devoid of any markings. Does anyone know anything about the jumper settings for this motherboard? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may have a problem with the BIOS recognizing the chip. If by chance you can find a bios upgrade think about the IDT winchip 200 you can get these for about $35.00
