Another Voodoo 3 3000 question...
For any of your that have this card, does it come with a fan stock or just a heatsink. Mine has a large heatsink but gets really really hot and I could not help wondering if it could use some cooling. Any suggestions on fans and how to attach it?

Evil Lurks
Only once I saw V3 3000 with HS/F, other ones always had large silver-color heatsink. Don't worry about the heat, as long as you have good case cooling, it's normal, you can even go higher
Best Regards ...

Mine has a big aluminum heatsink with straight fins.

wyvrn.....
I have 2 VD 3000, both came stock with just the large HS. If you stop at the local hardware store and pick up some 3/32 automotive windshield washer hose, cut 4 pieces about 1/4" long and push it in between the cooling fins, you can screw almost any size fan into the hose without messing up the fins or the card.
Mine has a 50mm/7000rpm fan that has been running for about a year without a problem.
Hope this helps......

I've pushed one of my v3 2000 pci to 217mhz. After about 4 hours I lowered it so the card wouldn't burn up. It'd doesn't really matter how fast my current v3 2000 runs, because even at 100mhz, it doesn't much of a difference with my winchip!

I kinda agree with you araaraara, infact, all the games i played so far runs smoothly at default 166 mhz , i'm just experimenting whether v 3 really runs at 210 mhz or above.so far no lock ups playing Swat 3 EE, did i say i luv the game.
