Try the Detonator 10.80 driver from www.guru3d.com

It bumped my 3DMark 2001 score by about 200 points.
    Haven't tried it on 3DMark 2000 yet.

3D Prophet Geforce 2 GTS Pro Question

Well last night I built my cousin an AMD 1333 system. Yeah, it's sweet but when I run the 3dmark2000, it only gives me 4200. At the default settings.

Vsync is off and I know I have seen higher numbers out there. WHat can be my problem?

I am using DX8. Using the drivers that came with the card. So if it is the driver, what and where do I get the latest version?

And if it may be my settings, what should I do. Is this even a good card?

And BTW, I am using an ASUA ASA266. I think. At work now so can't remember the exact name. 256mb DDR too.

Thats way tooo low! The card is an excellent card (i have one myself). I am running the 11.01 detonators from www.3dchipset.com and for 3dmark2000 i can get around 6000 (over 7000 with full tweaking, o/c and running low res). I only have a 1Ghz (o/ced to 1.12Ghz, 112x10) tbird with 128MB PC133 (@149Mhz). I recomend the 11.01 drivers, they give excellent performance in both ogl and dx8. I have even got a score of over 4000 in 3dmark2001 with my setup. Also make sure u have the latest drivers for ya mobo chipset (e.g. via 4in1's). make sure the card is running with 4xAGP. Also why not o/c the card if you want full performance, i have taken mine past the speed of the ultra cards, didn't run 100% stable tho. A safe o/c for my card is 220clock/440mem, i can probably go higher but this give me what i want (even standard is good enuff for me). Like said above i have the same card (prophet 2 PRO), and i cannot complain one bit about it. Good luck.

ok, fixed. There were AGP drivers on the motherboard CD that made everything oh so sweet.

    6500 on 3dmark2000 and 3400 on 2001.

Thanks for all the input everyone.

If you ask me 6500 is still low, but that's just my opinion.

6500 is about right for a GTS PRO.. not sure, 'cos i don't own a GTS or PRO, but compared to my MX it sounds right, I only get around 5000-5100 3DMarks with my MX.

Thats very low 3d mark for the system you have my athlon 900 with a hercules geforec MX gets to 4900 so yours should be around the 5200 mark i would have thought at least. Might be a daft question but when you build it did you set the FSB and everything up or have to left them as default. If you havent change the BIOS from the standerd settings that could be the problem as most mobos are set at teh lowest setting out of the box. So if you have setup the FSB and everything try the new drivers.

I setup a non tweaked Athlon 1200 with an Asus V7700 card and got over 7000, you've got 133 mhz and the latest drivers and updates on your side, I just used factory drivers. But hey, I could be wrong.
