Sony Monitor Help

I have a Sony Multiscan 520GS. iT works(meaning there is power) but when the screen warms up all you see is a rainbow of blue,green,red. You can still move the mouse and get into the OS and run programs but the rainbow is getting alittle old. I thInk it was dropped. any suggestions? beside making it a flower pot.

hit F5 and boot into safe mode. if you still see the rainbow i would suggest trying that same monitor on a different computer. this at least rules out a bad video card on the pc. to me it sounds like a bad monitor..and depending on the size and what you paid for it..it might not be worth servicing...good luck

see also if theres a degauss button on the monitor ..this might get rid of impurities on the screen. its worth a shot
