Your findings appear correct. Have you read the new Abit SiluroMX review here at Sysopt?
http://sysopt.earthweb.com/reviews/siluro/index.html
I have compared the MX against the v3 3000, TNT-2 Ultra, and GeForce-2 GTS. Benchmarks include Quake3, UT, and 3DMark2000.

Excellent article ROBRICH.
I was extremely happy with my results going from the TNT2ULTRA to the GF2 MX.
BTW, what drivers do you recommend? I am currently running the 6.31's.
System:
Win. 98
Celeron 700MHz@875MHz
128 PC100 ram
GF2 MX 32meg
Abit BE-6
Thanks

I have been using 7.17 with DirectX 8.0 for all of my GeForce-based cards. However, most will find 5.45 provides the best performance for TNT-x cards.
BTW, thanks for the positive comment about my new article!

Which is the best Detonator driver? Here are the results of benchmarks:
- For (any) GeForce cards: 6.34 or 6.35 (still avoid those 7.xy's);
- For TNT2s (or TNTs): 5.32 (or later from the 5.xx series).
Compare and see yourself, if you don't believe it!
