    Question Geforce 2 D3D problem

When I try to run a D3D game that uses T&L, I get the following error:

"D3DXERR_CAPSNOTSUPPORTED - This device lacks required capabilities"
Yeah Right! More likely the user (me) didn't install DirectX correctly. Sounds like I don't have T&L enabled in D3D but I can't figure out how to correct this. I've tried reinstalling the drivers and DirectX. OpenGL works great - smokes, in fact!

I've tried searching the forum but haven't found a solution.

    MSI MS-6309 mobo
    256mb PC133
Hercules Prophet II 64mb (not OC'd - yet)
    Detonator 5.32 Driver
    DirectX 7.0A
    Soundblaster Live! X-Gamer
2 30gb Quantum LM Plus ATA/66 7200rpm drives in a mirrored RAID (modified Promise Ultra66)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. RobRich?

Update: The problem is only happening in the Reflection pool demo from Nvidia. Other D3D programs using T&L work just fine. Anyone? Anyone??

    Well, I don't know what's wrong; I'm getting a different error:
    Error code: DDERR_GENERIC

And I can't get any of the Demos from nVidia's site to work. Card is a Geforce2 64MB.

Well, I got my computer to work now - I set the desktop color-mode from 16-bit to 32-bit.
