Question Past used for chip/heatink connections!??

I have a question regardint the past used to attach chips to heat sinks. I would like to try to overclock a video card, but I want to first put cooling on it. Such as a small heatsink and possibly a fan onto the ram chips and whatnot. What is used to attach to two together so that the heatsink doesn't need to be anchored down to the board??

thermal past works great as a heat conductor but it doesn't act as a glue... What should I use and where could I get it??

I use thermal adhesive pads. They're Berquist and I got them here: http://millisec.safeshopper.com/39/cat39.htm?783 They've worked great for me.
