Exclamation Matrox g400 users I need help

I have an Athlon 800 with 128Mb ram, 10Gb hdd, cdrw, sb live sound, diamond 56k modem, and a wonderful G400 matrox 32Mb Dual Head agp.(this isn't bragging, I thought you may need to know to help me).

The problem is getting the graphics card to run on my TV. I have used the latest drivers downloaded from the matrox site this weekend, I also tried the matrox drivers supplied with the card, but to no avail. What am i doing wrong. Is it the TV that can't handle it?, Do I need more ram?, Surely not a faster processor?.

I've been using an AV cable and a scart connector into my TV(I know these work OK because I've used them on a friends system to get DVD to a TV). I am getting some sort of skewed/screwed picture and I can see my mouse moving on the screen.

What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help? call for BATMAN?

Please help, Many Thanks in advance!!
(at this point any help is MAJOR help)

How are you trying to use the TV?
Are you extending your desktop to it? (DualHead Multidisplay option in powerdesk)
Are you cloning your desktop to it or using DVDMax? (DualHead Clone, DVDMax,or Zoom option in powerdesk)

Are all of the TV standards and settings correct for your region, system, and TV?

Unfortunatly, I don't know jack about SCART (this is a European connection standard, right?). Around my area, we are all RCA and S-Vid connections. I use a plain old RCA cable to go from the break-out cable (aka "dongle") on the second head directly to my VCR.

My only other suggestion is to follow Oracle's links and post your question in the "Matrox Hardware" forum. There is a global user base of G400 owners there who know a bunch of good stuff .

I highly suspect the SCART having something to do with it.

See if you can pick up a "converter" of sorts......

What kind of inputs does your telly have??

If you have RCA or SVGA, go with those over scart :-)
