I recently read a review (i'd post but can't remember where i saw it) where the V5 dominated the G2 with FSAA enabled, but fell well short of the G2 when FSAA wasn't enabled. Funny thing is though, the review said that the G2 graphics just seemed to look better than the V5. Anyhoo, with tdfx stock depressed like it is now, i've been buying it up in the hopes that i can double or almost triple my money by fall.

The stock idea isn't bad, as 3dfx is already hard at work on the Rampage, and card after that based on the GP-3. The GP-3 specs have already defined a fill rate of 25+ GigaTexel persond at standard depth complexity. Even in extreme rendering, it will scale well above 8 GT/s. It might actually bring 3dfx back to the forefront of video technology.

No, I heard it from a friend of mine.
He had read it somewhere, but I couldn't believe it.
That's why I posted this topic to see if anybody else had heard about this.

No I found a website that did some benchmarking with the V5, GeForce, and GeForce2, I'll see if I can dig it up for you. But the GeForce2 WAS on top, at lower resolutions they were almost the same, but when you jacked up the res the GeForce dropped the most, then the V5, and the GeForce2 went down a bit, wavered, but held.
There's a different one at www.tomshardware.com
