Which GFX card is best for me and my P233?

I am looking to upgrade my video cards, on my Intel Pentium 233mmx computer with PCI architecture and, I am looking for advice as to what would be most suitable for me. I am looking for a card that is a single slot 2D and 3D. I want to be able to run the latest games with the card so it must support these functions. I am currently using a Matrox Mystique and a Videologic Apocalypse PowerVR card. I can really see only 2 cards, which I have listed , that I think are really the most suitable choices:-

    1. Any Banshee based

    2. Any Riva TNT based

I am also aware that there is meant to be a new version of Power VR apperring soon. Do you think that this might be worth while? Do you think this card will receive sufficient software supporT? Will a TNT 2 card work on my system or, are these for Pentium 2’s only?

I know that the Banshee is meant to be Voodoo 2 compatible and that the TNT is not, but the Banshee requires patches for games. Which card is going to be the most compatible with modern software ?

Please answer my questions and tell me what you would recommend.

    Help much appreciated.

    thx

You might want to look into a PCI VooDoo 3 2000. They are supposed to cost around 100 dollars when they come out.

I've got a banshee, and I have most of the latest games. All i've had to get is one patch off the net for Unreal, and it only took me a short while. TNT based cards rely much more heavily on CPU power than Banshees, so to get a TNT to run how its meant to, you really need a Pentium 2. The PCI Banshee performs well on systems even as low as a Pentium 100mhz, so it would be very compatiable with your system.

The PCI Banshee is spectacular on all the latest games, and I haven't had any problems what so ever with it. For your system, I highly recommend the Banshee.

I have Creative Labe 3D Blaster Banshee and
    I'm little bit disappointed. @ 1st I thought
it has TV-out support, but it hasn't. Banshee
seems to be Voodoo2 copmpatible, but it is
not so simple. Vgraphics, Vrush and V2 are
compatible, but Banshee often locks up or doesn't work with those game that run previous cards with no problems. If game supports Direct3D there's no problem for Banshee. 3DFX patches often don't work with
Banshee (Xw vs. Tie, GTA, Carma1) so I don't
think Banshee is 100% V2 compatible but if
you want a good 3D accelerator for 233MMX
    Banshee is a good choice...
