    Sony 200es monitor

I just bought a new Sony monitor, the 200es, and I am getting a little bit of a flicker, only in the bottom right corner of the screen, also there are vertical lines, again, only on the right side of the screen. There aren't any magnetic objects (speakers) within 2-3 feet of it, it's not all that noticable unless I'm in a Word document or Spreadsheed,(white background). I also tried the degaussing procedure that was in the manual, any suggestions?

If the problem persists after trying the following, exchange the monitor.

    1. Change the video card's refreash rates to see if the problem persists.
    2. Try a different cable.
    3. If the monitor has the adjustments like its big bothers, adjust the convergence on the right side and the advanced geometry settings for the corner.
4.(Optional) experiment with all the settings.

Sony makes excellent monitors. Their lower end models are even nice.

    Note:
This assumes that the video card is functioning properly.
