Creative Blaster Riva TNT troubles (AGP)
ABIT BH6, 350 PII, SB Live! Value, 64 Ram, Sylania 17" monitor. Win95c
Im clueless as to how to fix this. I have the ABit with the AGP drivers installed in correctly. When I try to change settings it says to restart, and when it does, windows says that the display adapter is installed wrong or something, and prompts for hardware detection. I followed the Graphics blaster TNT installation instructions to the tee. Anyone else got these problems or got solutions? Thanks in advance.

This could be a whole multitude of things. First make sure your card is firmly set and properly aligned. Next, check your bios for your video settings. If applicable, disable Pallette Snoop and Video Card IRQ. Next make sure you have the latest drivers, both for your video card and the motherboard! You might also need to check and make sure all of your USB functions are setup correctly, as the AGP bus is usually intergrated with the USB bus on most chipsets. Good luck!

Hi, try without the AGP-drivers provided with the motherboard. I had a similar problem on an Epox MB with and AMD processor.
I also have a Viper 550 and those drivers and the ones from Hercules or the Detonator's from Nvdia won't work with the supplied AGP-drivers.
Even if i'm not running the AGP drivers, all benchmark programs detect that i have an AGP card in my PC. Also, i did not find any differences in speed using the AGP drivers or not.
