Megabyte's new SLI drivers were on display at Cebit. Using two Banshee cards with a PII-400, Megabyte was able to demonstrate their new technology. The only disappointment was that they were using a horribly outdated monitor. Anyway here are the results:

Quake II TimeDemo1 at 1024*768 scored 27.5 fps without SLI, 36.5 fps with SLI.

3D Mark 99 at 800*600 scored 2287 without SLI, 3135 with SLI.

Not too bad. Big plus is the possiblity of a V3 3500 SLI setup. The drivers are only beta. As far as nVidia, they will not directly use the new tech, saying that it will be the board manufactures responsibility to take part. ATI also has interest for their new Rage Fury 128GL cards.
Diamond, Creative, and S3 are also starting to show interest. Megabyte is also adapting the new drivers to be able to control up to FOUR CARDS in a psuedo-SLI interface.
