    i740 vs Riva TNT

I need a nice 2D card to work with images (CorelDraw, photoshop, etc) I know that the TNT is a great board (I already own one) but I dont know if this board is too good for this job, so I could use the i740 instead. I don't care about 3D but 2D and price, the i740 here is 4 times cheaper than the TNT.

    Any help is aprreciated.

    If u don't care about about 3d..
Then u have to get a Matrox G200...
It is just the best card for 2d,,and is quite in 3d in D3D(not too good in opengl)

    But best 2D

i740 is good because you can get it for under $40 US. See it as low as $34

Unusual enough, I would actually recommend a Voodoo Banshee or Voodoo3 card. I know you said you need 2d graphics, well to many people's surprise, both have the complete Windows graphical driver interface in hardware (no other 2d/3d card has this). They also are based completelely on a 128-bit 2D accelerator. I own an i740 8meg AGP card, and my Banshee destroys it in both 2d and 3d. The i740 was a good idea about a year ago. The Matrox cards are decent, but they are also lagging in technology, even the great G200 series can't compete with the Voodoo3 for 2d.
