    PLEASE HELP....BANSHEE WOES...

    I have just bought a PCI version of the 16meg voodoo banshee. I am realizing that when i play some of my games the screen is black. NHL 99 for example..it doesn't even recognize my banshee...it just recognizes my old ATI rage 2X. How can i fix this.....

    You may need to grab an updated patch for that game, it probably originally didn't support the Banshee chipset

    I had exactly the same problem. You need to go to www.3dfx.com. They have a small file which will delete other video card information from the windows registry. After this the banshee should work fine.

    Is the Banshee from Creative? If yes, then my answer is that that card was buggy, and Creative called back ALL the stocks on the market. If no, then you could try to update the drivers like what the other guys suggested.
