PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a IBM G50 15 inch monitor. I have noticed lately that when i move my mouse up and down over the desktop a 2cm while line appears...This line is noticable althought its faded . Would this be my ATI Rage 2X video card or my monitor?????\

Go into DOS and load Edit (text editor in dos) move your mouse around...if you don't get the same result, (lines) then it's probably your video card, try updating the drivers. If in dos mode, you get these lines then it's probably your monitor
