    Strange Video problems...

    Hello,
I recently overclocked my S3 Virge/DX (Yeah, I got no money..) to 90MHz giving me a accectable 30FPS @ 640x480. But I have a slight problem with Direct3D. It's that there are a black back to evey object that is supposed to be translucent. I related this to a driver problem, but the problem is I cant find a recient driver for it. Does anyone know how I should solve it? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

S3 doesn't support those old chipsets any longer. If you have between $50-$80, you might be able to find a intel I740 based chipset or you can get a voodoo (I) for around that price now. If you're willing to pay $100, you can get a CL Banshee.

I have too S3 virge/DX. Try to don`t use overclocking, when I overclock my s3 (I can use only 75Mhz) I can`t put clock ratio over 75Mhz , when I put to 80 Mhz there come some blinking lines in screen. Use older driver, not the newest. I have too problems with newest drivers d3d hangs.
