HELP! BUYING GRAPHIC CARD TOMORROW...?
Can somebody please advise me? I'm about to buy a graphic card and (like everybody else am split between a Banshee and a TnT). I have a p2 300 on a 66mhz bus with an AGP (vers. 1) slot. Given the bus and AGP, will the TnT still well outperform the banshee? I need good TnT performance as I'll be dabbling in glide wrapping for ultrahle...
PLEASE HELP, ONLY 24Hours left to decide...!
Any help much appreciated ;=)

But the Banshee. TNT cards love system resources, especially CPU overhead. They also like high bus speeds to reach their maximum potential. The Banshee does more on
board processing, thus freeing up your bus and CPU for other tasks. On a 300 mhz system, the Banshee should perform slightly better than the TNT.

Why don't you preorder the Voodoo3 2000 for $106 from www.buycomp.com? It should be shipped to you within a week, and it will smoke the living **** out of both the Banshee and TNT (both of which also cost about the same!) Of course, this works if you only have to *order* now and have a week to wait for the actual shipment....
