    Suggestions on Video Card

Could anyone advise me on what video card to buy to go with my BH6 and 300a o/c to 450.

I do not play many games. It will be mostly for text, light desktop publishing and photo work, and internet use.

I would like to spend $100.00 or less.

    Any suggestions?

Best low-cost offerings currently are based on SiS 6326AGP chip. AGP cards with this chip and 8 MB SDRAM are around $45. 2D performance is good, image quality also. 230 MHz RAMDAC takes the 6236AGP to 1600x1200 at 75 Hz, which should do for most people. (Don't choose the 6326DVD if you want to go that high - it has only 175 MHz RAMDAC.)
3D image quality is good, performance is somewhat limited here (but good enough if you aren't into high-end gaming).
Driver support is good, with DX6 and 3D-Now! support, and full W98 compatibility, as well as NT4 and NT5 drivers.

Trident just presented the Blade 3D, which is a pretty similar offering, but no experience on those yet. (SiS, in turn, just presented their SiS 300 128-bit 4xAGP chip, to go into production in April ...)

    Regards, Peter
