To Buy A New Video Card or Not to Buy

I currently have an xpert@play '98 video card. I would like to buy a TV tuner and am wondering if I should buy a tuner card to go with the ATI card or junk the ATI card and buy a better video card that has TV out?

    Thanks!

I'd junk it. Depending on your priorities, check out the Asus 3400 TV-Out or the Matrox Marvel G200.

    Cheers

I just removed an ATi All in Wonder Pro. The TV out was poor, the video was good, and the TV tuner was good. Game play was poor. Replaced it with an STB Velocity 4400 16 Mb. Now I'm happy...

Either get a ATI Rage Fury, or wait for V3, TNT2, or S4.

Or...if you want to wait longer, just keep waiting. Video cards are just about the fastest obsolescence rate of any computer component. Don't wait for anything. They're cheap enough. Just get what's good now, and upgrade later...you're going to have to anyway. Most good gaming cards have a TV-Out now, so just check the boards for the respective cards (such as the Matrox BBS at www.matroxusers.com) and investigate which one your system configuration will have the least amount of problems with. Good luck.
