    SLI possible with "odd" boards?

Hey. I have two Diamond Monster3d II cards. The problem is that one is a 12mb version and the other is an 8mb version. Any way I can SLI the two of them? Or do I need to find another one identical to one or the other. Responses are appreciated!

In case you can't get your drivers to recognize SLI mode using the 12MB and 8MB cards, try these alternate drivers:

So using 2 different 12mb. or 8mb. is possible?
Like say my orchid 12mb. and a 12mb. non-orchid card?

    regards

    Maverick,

When you say using 2 different V2's is only a driver problem, do you mean that you can use V2's from 2 different manufacturers in SLI mode if you use, say, the 3dfx reference drivers?

I had the same question with my creative labs
card, I want to buy another card and was curious if I had to buy the same one, I have an 8 meg card now and would like to know if I bought a 12 meg card would I get the total of 20 megs of usage??? and could I SLI them together? or would I have to buy another 8 meg card?

I'm pretty sure they both have to have the same amount of memory, but I'm not sure if they have to be from the same manufacturer.
