Does SoftFSB find your mobo automatically?

I have some old systems and was wondering if any of those overclocking programs find your motherboard automatically? Any links are helpful!

    Nope, softfsb doesn't....

In fact, softfsb doesnt have my motherboard on the list, so i picked one with the same chipset (440lx) and it worked out fine.

I used sisoft sandra to determine what clock generator i have.

Keep in mind your motherboard must have a software programable clock generator, which a lot do not, but it depends on just how old the motherboard you have is, mine is old, only supports p2's and celeron's with the 66 mhz bus, but mine did. Depends on your definition of old I guess.. Mine is quite old now.. sigh.. :/
