How does everyone store their CD's ?

Hi,

We all have shed loads of CD's containing programmes or music. My problem is that my organisational skills are rubbish. I always have for example, the Windows CD in the Tomb Raider CD case. The Tomb Raider CD case being stored in one of 4 draws.

What I need is something compact enough to sit at my work station that will store loads (about 60 CD's)

Can someone save me time and help organise me

NB> I want to complete Tomb Raider but I CANNOT (after 2 weeks of looking) find my CD.

Heh, i have somewhere around 600 cds, between music and programs. They used to be alphabetized and stored nicely, til i gave up. Now they are whereever i leave them. I have almost 100 sitting next to my foot, for easy retrival.

Buy CD folders. I have one case that has all my programs, one that has all my written CDRs, one for music. You can get ones that hold 75-100 CDs per case, and they're easy to carry, organize, etc.

whatever you do, DO NOT GET A CASE LOGIC SOFT CASE!!!!!

They scratch your CD's really badly!it is the one that has the sleeves, and you slide your CD into it. t=that scratches it badly.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.........

I have the Case Logic Soft Case and haven't had a single problem with scratches. And I have had it for a year. My Case Logic holds 96 cd's. It has a real soft material that the back of the cd slides against when putting it in a pocket.

All my Jewel cases go in the trash as soon as I get a new CD.

I'd recommend a Case Logic Soft Case anyday of the week.

Well, I have a Case Logic Sky Tower 120 CD's for audio, one Sky Tower 80 CD's for soft and one Sky Tower 50 CD's waiting to be populated !

I use CD Music binders. I have one for games, one for programs and a small one for toting around with me. No cases to crack or break and tucks neatly away.

i have filled up three draws in my desk full of cds, i know where they all are and in which draw

I also use case logic soft case without any scratching. I use the 72 disc model and mark each cd with a number,and use a 3 inch AOL cd marked END to tell me there are no cds missing so I wont missnumber them if the last one is out of the case. There is a sleeve in the front that I store Windows Start up disk and key numbers needed for cds inb that case.
Ihave an old napa valley cd case with clear plastic sleeves that does scratch! My case logic cases have padded black felt inside where the data side touches.

I just have mine stacked with the labels on the side facing outwards. They are on a shelf above me, so all I have to do is get and and grab one. Some are organized in a special CD holder type gadget, but all my CD-Rs and CD-RWs are just stacked up.

There was a CD holder that holds something like 50 CDs. It was on one of those infomercial things on TV, and was also sold in department stored. It holds the CDs vertically by the edge, fitting around 50 in a case roughly 8 inches long. I wouldn't trust it, but it might be worth a look. Sorry I can't remember a brand name...
