800 pentium III at 1200? Possible?

Is it possible if you are using a 800Mhz P3 with the 100Mhz bus to get to 1200mhz?

    its possible but very unlikely.

To hit 1200 mhz you have to be at 150 fsb. At anything close to 140 fsb and up you can run into many problems that can bog you down such as memory, video card or even the processor itself not being able to handle high fsb speeds.

What if you raised the fsb to 133 and highered the voltage?

You'd be running at 1064MHz, a far cry from 1200MHz.

That is a little more reasonable.
If you are lucky it might make that speed (1064mhz) without raising the voltage.

    133+ raised volatage does not=1200
    150+raised voltage=1200(maybe but unlikely)
As you can see above I reached 1155@144fsb but I got lucky with a very good chip.

Agreed. Bumping up the voltage does not make the chip run at a higher clock speed. It only makes it more stable at a chosen clock rate (within reason of course).

Same concensus here, as my P3 800e "cc0" will reach around 950-1000 at defualt voltage. At 1.85v, I can reach towards 1050-1100 with excellent cooling.

Sadly, this chip is setting on a non-overclocking friendly board right now. My Tekram board is stable though.
