    Thermal Pad removal

Ignore this email. I used 100% acetone to remove the thermal pad. Came right off with no problem.

I don't know if acetone leaves any residue or not might what to use rubbing alcohal to go over it to be safe assuming your using some type of thermal compound

Another very good one is Goo Gone, or a similar citrus based label goo remover. Let it work for a few seconds and that pad wil glop right off. Follow it with denatured alcohol (no water, no residue) and you're good to go in a couple of minutes with virtually no elbow grease involved.
