Finding out the exact model mobo
Ok, I've got an Athlon classic 750 I've been itching to tinker with, but I have no idea what the model of the motherboard is except that it's a KX133 chipset and possibly made by EPoX. I've heard of programs made to id what the exact model is, and I need that info to use softFSB. If anyone can point me to where I can find these things, I'd be obliged.

You can start at Motherboard Homeworld . They have some resources for your kind of quest.

Thanks that worked like a charm, it's an EP7KxA if anyone cares. Anyone know about overclocking a KX133 chipset? An Athlon classic? How high can you set the cache clock and whatnot?

The usual approach to overclocking is to raise the FSB a notch at a time until the system freezes. Then try raising the CPU voltage the same way to see if it helps. Every processor/mobo/RAM combination is different, you'll know what your setup will do only when you go through the process of discovery. Good luck.
