Dont disguard your Intel MB
I can safely change my fsb from 67 to 80 in windows with this program.
http:cgi.tky.3web.ne.jp/~nrklv/cgi-bin/softdl.cgi?sfsb130.zip
I have an intel AL440LX MB, virtually impossible to overclock the fsb in the past. Target clock generator and use this setting, ICS ICS9250XX-08 Let me know how it works. If screen freezes, when you restart your computer, the changes are gone since no info is written to the registry.

i have the same motherboard and a celeron 266 what is the highest speed you think i could get and what was the speed of youre processor before and after overclocking

Besides having the same name, I have the same intel mb. I use softfsb 1.7 to up my fsb from 66 to 80. System freezes occasionally at 80 despite upgrading to pc100 ram but rock stable @77. My pII300 runs @ 345.
You can get softfsb 1.7 at www.tweakbase.com
It has a setting for this mb and you can set the change in fsb and put the exe file in startup and the overclock will result everytime windows boots. Don't set the systemtray until your sure the setting doesn't freeze up windows upon booting. Even if this happens, you can hold down the ctrl key just prior to booting into windows and your startup files won't load.

vidribbin ~ PC100 SDRAM is backwards compatible. Just get some and plug it in. You might as well get PC133, the price is almost the same and you might benefit more in the future.

You can use faster ram. It will only run as fast as the fsb. If you fsb is running at 80, pc66 memory may not over clock to 80 since it was made to run at a FSB of 67. Pc100 ram will handle at least a FSB of 100, and surely 80.
The real problem here is the AGP multiplier.
The FSB \AGP ratio for this mb is 1\1.And soft FSB doesn't allow you to change this ratio. Therefore, when I over clock my FSB to 80, my AGP bus is also running at 80. My video card can't handle 80 and causes my system to freeze. But it handles 77 fine.
You can probably over clock your pc66 ram up to 80 without a problem. Your video card is probably more sensitive.
