    Pentium 233mmx shows 225 mhz......!!!! why......

    Hi, i have a ASSUS P55TVP4 rev 1.5

    i put a Pentium 233mmx and it runs only at
    225 mhz .....what can i do ?

    Double check your CPU settings. the 233 should be set at 3.5x66 which is actually 231mhz (they always do some rounding due to the clock generators) If in fact your settings are correct I would start to suspect that you have a clock generator that is dying

    That's because your multiplier is set to 3.0 and your front side bus speed is 75mhz..

    Double check those settings.

    leave it as it is. 3x75 is better than 3.5x66 even if the total is less due to the figher bus.

    Why not try 3.5x75 ????

    Every 233 I've tried worked fine at that.
