duron@1Gig temps?
What should my temps run on this processor.
At 900mhz it runs @45c, @1000mhz around 50c.
Are these temps normal? Safe?
Asus A7v, duron 700
h/s coolmaster rated up to 1.4ghz

that is still in spec's but for me that is to hot i run a tbird on a k7m my temps are 40c on cpu and 30c on mobo and a 750 with 950 core at 1102 so if you can try to get it down some
try running it with a open case that will help lots

The Durons/Tbirds run usually hotter than the classic athlon. They lack the heatplate+huge HS+2 fans etc.
What H/s you got? I use and alpha and found out it works far better if the fan sucks air, so you can try that.
My D650 does 1000 @ 1.8V and temps are never higher than 47C, mobo @ 32C. So you're doing ok.
BTW, ain't it sweet to get the GIG out of this cheap CPU? And it so **** fast....

Do you guys even know what the specs for AMD's socket-A chips are? They say the operating temps of the die are up to 90°C...HOT!
Considering the Slot-A specs say temps up to 70°C, but most people (including me) like to keep the temps around 40°C....
I'd say that 50°C and under is perfectly safe for a Socket-A chip.
