Well, looks like the best I can do right now is 920 stable @1.8v
Any suggestions on burning in the cpu?
It will post 960, but not 992. I'd love to make it to 992 mhz, that would give me a PCI bus of 31.
I know I could chill the water....but even at room temp the water is keepin the peltier plenty cool.
Prime runs fine at 920, should I burn it in at that and then try for more? (how long should I burn it in for?)
I think you should leave it at 920 man, not burning is a lot better for the cpu...
i totally agree w/ the previous statement in saying.... leave it where it is if its stable going any farther would just shorten chip life even more...
hehe, I'm not into extreme cooling either.
But my wife went out of town for the weekend, I felt like a fun little project, plus I just got this new chip...
Hehe, I feel "naughty" with a bucket of water sitting next to my computer and a pump sending the water right in.
Just got a pretty little radiator for it, a tranny cooler for a compact car, just the right size for 2 92mm fans.
I'll post pictures when my wife gets back with the digital camera.

1.73 at 896 rebooted once prime started
1.78v at 896, so far so good.
Running out of volts here....may not get past 920.
Hmmmm....Dont say that! Just keep creeping it up When it maxes out let it run there for a couple of days and then try bumping it again.
I just got my Celeron II 566 today and I was wondering how do I burn it in?
I ran it at 566 for like 10 minutes.
Then ever since I've been running it at 850mhz with 1.65 volts.
Should I run it at 566mhz for the first day?
Well, I'm no expert on the subject, but I'd leave it at 850 and 1.65 for a while.
Sounds like you have a good chip, give it a little time, and then try bumping up the speed and perhaps a little more voltage.
Don't be in a hurry, give it a few days or even a week.
Hehe, I can't say that I'm following my own advice though....
I too gave up trying to get 1 gig out of my 533a. It's currently running along happy at 940mhz (118x8 1.85v with Alpha for cooling). I think I could get it over if I went with extreme cooling but that not what I'm into. Heck in 2 months I just buy another chip that will be over 1 gig with standard heatsink
