One GiggleHurts Plus ~ UPDATE
Well, I've installed the beefy dual fan heatsink on my PIII-850/100 and the 1037/1.8V has yielded to 1071/1.9V. Cool and 98% stable.
I built the HS to allow a sandwiched TEC (Peltier). I'll try that tomorrow to see if the next available step - 1136 - can be reached. I'll be surprised and pleased if it is.
Hindsight reveals that a PIII-800/100 would have been a better choice. Steps of 1072, 1096, 1109 and 1136 would have been the options in my system. I guess I'll order one tomorrow if the TEC test fails.
If this comes to pass, there will be a nice, young 800 [oops! that's 850] available for a reasonable price. It is solid at 122/1037/1.8V with the factory fan/HS.
Stay tuned.
