Arrow One GiggleHurts Plus ~ UPDATE

Well, I've installed the beefy dual fan heatsink on my PIII-850/100 and the 1037/1.8V has yielded to 1071/1.9V. Cool and 98% stable.

I built the HS to allow a sandwiched TEC (Peltier). I'll try that tomorrow to see if the next available step - 1136 - can be reached. I'll be surprised and pleased if it is.

Hindsight reveals that a PIII-800/100 would have been a better choice. Steps of 1072, 1096, 1109 and 1136 would have been the options in my system. I guess I'll order one tomorrow if the TEC test fails.

If this comes to pass, there will be a nice, young 800 [oops! that's 850] available for a reasonable price. It is solid at 122/1037/1.8V with the factory fan/HS.

    Stay tuned.

    OMG, Roy,

Get yourself a large postingbag, put yer system in it and send it to Holland!!!!

I gotta have me one of these!!!!

My athlon 650 is definetely 0.18Micron cor, so I could clock it up reasonably, but I won't, it is too precious for me.

Though I do have my k6-2 450 at 518, which is 4.5x115, had it at 4.5x120 but my nic card couldn't handle 40Mhz pci bus!!!

    Always those **** nic cards

he dude ver nice score but i doubt you get the 1100 mhz barrier i hope it for you 1,9 volts is high for a coppermine even with a peltier.
And for ultima i am from holland to !
3-0 for us in the E.K i hope they will survive.

    Hey Jakob,

Was a nice game wasn't it??!!!

At least this time they deserved it, last time against Tsjechia they won extremely unfair!!!

I hate to admit it, but the Tsjechs should have won with 2-0 or 3-0.
    We were so incredibely lucky!!!

Thanks, all, for the encouraging words. I'm off now to install the TEC.

    More to follow.

I know Roy, Just wanted to say that, not go into a deep discussion!!!!

But trust me, if I wanted to do so, I would surely use e-mail!!!

Makes it a lot easier anyway, cause then I could write in plain Dutch.
Not that it is so hard for me to write in English, but....

Keep clocking, I just wish I had that baby.
I know that I can take my athlon 650 pretty far, but I ain't gonna mess with my little jewel.LOL
