£890... OMFG!
I hope you have some serious success with that chip... I know I was on the verge of soiling myself when I removed the retail HS/fan from my 550E (which made 853, with the help of a VOS32 ) I just don't reckon I would have the ballz to tinker with an £890 chip.
Hmmmm... that's interesting, though. From what I gather, any Inhell chip that is 'unlocked' is an engineering sample... and the only people that seem to get hold of those are hardware review / developers / OEM's. Are you a developer, etc?? I'm just curious.... will Inhell sell engineering samples to the general public? If so, I'm sure there are many members here who would appreciate the links / some more details!

to answer your question the chips i have aquired are both engineering samples, I am an intel employe i have also worked for samsung and amd,i worked on the athlon project at amd

here's an unrelated quetion for pearson... what kind of degree do you have?? I'm going to university this fall and I applied for engineering at 4 schools. (2 of them have a general first year the other 2 I applied to cpmputer engineering)... anyways working in cpu development interests me and I was wondering what path I should take.
mnx

Hey pearson the still working at intel you should move back over here to amdthings are much beter now your athlon took off they still kept your fpu unit in now i had the task of fitting on die cash on the monster the 0.18 micron process is working well we will have to get together sometime
P.s can you get me a 1000 p3 eng sample i can get you any processor you want of us speek soon
-
Pearson.
That is AWESOME!
BTW are you and Wotinar brothers or something? I just noticed that your Email Addy's are very similar even though you have different ISP. Both are in the same line of work and such too!

Mntsnow,
we are twin brothers but pearson left amd for intel as he was sick of the lack of cash there
-
Thanks.....I thought it was something like that When I saw you both were so similar I couldn't resist asking.

I havegot my fc-pga p3 600 to 1064mhz with only a 5degc increce in heat i used 8*133 and it is as stable as a rock now to get the liquid nitrogen on my p3 1000 and see how high i can get that before i kill it
-
I quote PEARSON -
"now to get the liquid nitrogen on my p3 1000 and see how high i can get that before i kill it"
....with a $900.00 cpu....I think I'm gonna CRY.....
just kidding.....you have fun for the rest of us poor folks, Pearson!!

Can you tell us if there is a way to unlock the multipliers?
-
narayan,
You can unlock the multiplyers but it has been made as difficult as possible and there is a very high chance tha if you did try you would kill the processor.
cpucook
the liquid nitro has been on the processor and it has been cruncking away breaking my 256bit encription program it is running at 1450mhz she is going to be cooled to ~-260degc with liquid helium but i can only d that at work and then i can see how quick it will go then maybee even 2ghz is possible at that temp 1.8ghz is more likley to happen
