Simple question about Rain20.
Hey all.
I just downloaded rain20. When I went to install it, it detected my P3 450 as a Ppro. In the change box it only gos up to a P2. What should I choose? Thanks, Jill

Hey Jill:
Open it and get it running in your tray. Then watch your temps, after a few minutes, right click on it and see if your temp. rises. That oughta tell ya if it's working or not.
It works on my K6, although it says it's optimized for a pentium.
Good Luck,
Bruno

Jill,
FYI, The P3 is seen as a ppro/p2 as the architecture is basically the same. It will work just fine So if you want to "test" it just do as Bruno mentioned and you will see your temp's rise and fall depending on whether you have RAIN deactivated or activated.

Wow. Good memory Nixona.
I just got a new power supply that I need today and a HP 900i CD-RW. So I'll be down for a day. I'm still haveing trouble getting shure info. on wether my mobo will support the 1.65 voltage. I found a link that might help. http://support.intel.com/support/mot...csupp.htm#list
I will check my mobo number tonight. If not a lot of pepole at Dell used the slocket methed to over ride the mobo set voltage. So I'm still giving it all a thought. I'd rather buy a slot SECC2 CPU but......
Thanks for cheking up on me I'm shure I'll be Back with o/c questions soon (I hope).
Oh. I posted a question on the video card forum. I wished I could post it here. I seem to get more help in this form. Jill http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/For...ML/002501.html
