PIII 550E to 733MHz so far
Yeehaa...finally got it, threw that stupid AGP card outta the system for the time being, and put in a PCI V3 3000. ****!!! it worked, check the specs. Gonna go higher soon as I get my 128MB of PC133 Ram this evening. PIII 550E + 133FSB = 733

I'll take two... CPU's
Cool...I'm really thinking about getting the same cpu. I have no problem running at 133Mhz and have been running my 450 at 600 now for about 2 weeks, with absolute stability in games and all. I think a little CPU swap would do the trick.
Maybe a GeForce DDR too ( I use a TNT2U now ). I hear the DDR runs great at 100Mhz AGP speed, so 88-90Mhz would be fine with the 2/3 mult.
I might hold out for a 600E now...

Thanks. I thought you had to up the voltage when OCing. Default for the coppermine is 1.65. Am I wrong here? Still an OCing newbie. Want to run my 600e at 672 but am having some strange problems even though my cpu temp stays relatively cool. Thanks.

Where did you get the P III and the slocket I am wanting to purchase one too but can't find the combo at the same place.

Got my PIII and SlotKet II converter from I Squared. Here's the link:

Default core voltage setting for Coppermine is 1.60. But it will easily take 1.65 and probably 1.70 too. Didn't had time to test it yet.

Since you guys are keeping this thread alive, must update ya. I'm at 825MHz 150FSB x 5.5 right now, everything is silky smooth. Must admit that I had to can my AGP for a PCI video card but I can hardly tell the difference. I also have a new Alpha and some other HS&F on the way......always want more

Morphius,
what is your core voltage setting to run it at 825 Mhz?
Thanks

Sig, its 1.70. Gonna run it there for about a month straight, then back it down and see if it is still stable at 1.65 or 1.60. Good Luck!

Thank you Morphius.
I'll try 1.70 myself over the weekend. Did you have a look at my setup?

Can you tell me if you see something else that could be getting in the way to 825 Mhz?
Thanks

morphius
was 825MHz 150FSB x 5.5 achieved with stock HS and Fan?
