    Thumbs up made custom cap

    seems to be working ....
    now i need to know the average temp for stock amd k6 2 400
    used outside edge of original cap
    made copper top
    used silver compound
    no smoke!!!!
    jb weld to bond
    whats top o/c speed for 400
    lets rock!!!!!!

    With stock heatsink and fan 40-45C, but often closer to 50C.
    Most o/clocking success seems to be around 500/525 with some at 550.

    If you can get that chip below 35C you should be able to add a few mHZ beyond what you would get with an average cooling set-up. I am stable at 5*110/2.7v AFX core with Asus Probe measuring 32C.

    I have my K6-2 400 at 5*95 2.5v with a larger heatsink and 2 small casefans, running Rain. Enjoy!

    Question

    this may sound stupid, but is the K6 II a 66 MHz bus stock?

    The K6-2's that used a 66Mhz bus are: 266,300,333,366. The 333 also used a 95Mhz bus. All others use either 95 or 100.
