Pentium II Multiplier
I have read that the multiplier in the PII are locked,.. but just to try, i set the multiplier to 4.5 in my ABIT BF6.. and to my surprise,.. it does shows as a 450 mhz system...i when to windows.. used wCPUid.. and also it showed 450...
what going on here? it is real 450... ?
Most p2-400 chips are locked. How old is the chip?
If it was made before August 98 chances are that it may not be locked.
well i bought my system like year and half ago...when the Pentium 2 400 just came out.... how can i make sure it is really runnning at 450.. and specific benchmark u guys recommend?
If wcpuid says it is 450 then it is pretty certain that it is 450, you could also try sandra
