    Question Dual cpu question

    Can I mix and match cpus on a dual board? for example can I have the p3 450 i have now with, say, a p3 700? or do I have to buy another p3-450.

    What about even a p2 thrown in there?

    Yes you can mix and match (up to a point). That point is the system speed will be the speed of the SLOWER processor, not the faster processor. Therefor, the faster processor will be forced to run at the slower processors speed.

    Is that by default? like, lets say I had a 700 and a 450 and dual booted also with win 98 and win nt/2000....would it read as 700 in 98 and then read both as 450 in the nt/2000?
