Overclocking HPs

Is it possible to overclock the Hewlett Packard 6470z? I have overclocked 4 computers and never had a major problem, but with this one, it doesn't work. I have 100mhz bus with a 4.0 multiplier, and the documentation with the motherboard explains that there is anywhere between 2 and 4.5 multiplier. The comp. registers as a 400mhz and right now my jumpers are set to 100mhz * 4.5. Any suggestions?

have you updated the bios some of the older bios's will not show cpu running at higher speed down load sisoft sandra its a benchmark program it will tell you what speed your realy running at pluse a lot more you can get it at www.download.com
or you can get wintune98 from <A HREF="http://www.winmag.com" TARGET=_blank>www.winmag.com
</A>
and if you've got it jumpered to 4.5 x100 your chip is running at 450 mhz the computer is just not showing it good luck

NOTE: Unless your running a intel chip they are mulitiplyer locked so you cant over clock them buy the muliti have to up the bus speed in which case your still only running at 400 mhz
