    overclocking pII 266

I'm currently running dual pII 266 @ 300 on a 66mhz bus speed. I want to over clock them some more, but no matter what i overclock to, NT and wintune still report the cpu's as pII 300's, so how do I get Nt to reconize the new settings for the CPUs?

Your MB may be the problem, what kind do you have? Also, from what I've seen on this BBS,PII's @66mhz are hard to OC more than 2 steps.Especialy if they're rated above 266.
You may be better off with a pair of Celerons.

Thatīs very true, but the problem here is that you have to modify the celerons to get them to work dual, that is if u still want to use the same mobo.
Otherwise, you can buy the Abit BP6 (dual mobo) but then you also have to change CPUs.
Guess you are pretty much stock with thee 300.
Check in your mobo manual to see if there are any other bus speeds than 66.

thanks for the info....the mobo is a Tyan tiger100 s1832dl...it has both 66 and 100 mhz bus speeds...i was thinking that maybe I shoukld disable the overclock warning message option in the bios...gonna try that...but no matter how i set the bus speed (multiplier on the board) the bios wil correctly diaplay whatever i have the cpus set to, but in NT it shows 2 processors at 300.
