550 to 680

I have been told by my local computer guru that pentium III 550's can be over clocked to 680 with ease. Has anyone heard anything similar to this?

Ive seen them over 700 before.

Probably rare, but then again, so is a P3 550.

MOTA....

Dude, with that drive U$W 10K, why would you skimp on the CPU? Celeron? Man, I give Celerons away now... They don't even compare to P3's. Get real!

BBA...

I have a P3 550.... the celeron was the cpu I had before. Also the celeron 366 oc to 645
is slightly faster than the P3 550 oc to 645
according to many benchmarks I have seen.

I'll take some Celes too. I was thinking about building dual celeron system, cause win2000 is aboiut to come out. can't wait. Imagine 2 celes 366 overclocked to 550 each = 1100Mhz muahahahahahahaha
oh yeh PIII 550 = $400 to $450
Celes 366 $99*2= $198
Hmmmm let let me think, i'll go with PIII all the way. yeh right
