Overclocking PIII450.....need help
Ok well 1st off i would like to know what a PIII450 can be overclocked to without adding any fans etc.
I got an ASUS P2B-F MB. What would i change my voltage & clock speed to?
And would anyone be able to tell me how to overclock my ultra tnt2 video card?

Just curious Nitro, if you have Asus PC Probe installed - what is it reporting now for cpu and mobo temps?

Um....ok i installed asus probe not long ago and it wont give me the cpu temp or the cpu fan speed for some reason.
i checked everthing was going and tried again and i still got the same problem.
but the MB (running 24hrs/7days) averages about 40-45 Celcius.

That seems a touch hot. I don't think you'll have much success trying to OC that thing without having to add more cooling.
If you don't want to add another fan/heatsink, perhaps you should try adding a layer of silicon thermal grease between the CPU & heatsink. This may get you a slightly lower temperature, but getting an extra fan/heatsink combo would be ideal.
Perhaps you should simply experiment a bit. All systems are unique, so experimentation is the only sure way to know what speeds your CPU can achieve.

thought so.... i got 3 fan mounts in the case and i intend to fill them. should have that done soon, but in the mean time i guess ill just sift through info i get from around the place. the main thing i dont understand is the voltage to clockspeed ratio.
Oh and by the way, how the hell do you install heatsinks? ive never seen anything to do with that sort of stuff and was just wondering what it involves.
by the way thanks alot for the replies. this is the best msg board ive tried.
