Any of you O/C'ing a Celery 466....what are your results??
I have a Celeron 466 @525 with no problem and no extra cooling.
I was wondering if anyone was running faster and how the did it and what chip they had.
thanks

well ive heard if some people getting them up to 5__ on the 83 mhz bus...check www.overclockers.com and check their cpu database, see what people are getting theirs too...as 525 is pretty good.

I ran a single retail (boxed week 19)Celeron 466 overclocked to 560Mhz @ 2.0V core on a Abit BP6 with NT 4.0/Service pack 5 with the original retail heatsink/fan. It did not crash at all at greater than 95% CPU usage (Prime95) over a three week period. When I was running Prime95 it maintained about 110 deg f temperature. Then I got an Alpha heatsink/fan from 3DFXCool and the temp
dropped to 98-100 deg f when running Prime95. I had to bend the metal CPU
lever down so the Alpha would not be putting continous pressure on it. The Alpha heatsink/fans are generally highly rated and large. The Alpha from 3DFXCool barely fits on the BP6.
I am now gradually trying burn-in procedures to overclock further. I am
now absolutely stable at 588Mhz (7 X 84Mhz) @ 2.2V and am stable with a moderate load at 602Mhz (7 X 86Mhz.) At these speeds the CPU runs 108-111 deg f using the Alpha. By the way, room temp averages 65-70 deg f and in addition to the CPU and power supply fan, I have two others in this case.
Additionally I have the fan sucking. There is continual debate as to which works better sucking air off the heatsink or blowing air accross it with the fan. I chose sucking due to the placement of other fans in my case.

I've been running at 583Mhz @ 1.88V 24/7 for about a month now with no problems...

I have Abit LX6 motherboard (bias flashed to suport celeron 500, works fine)
Can u tell me how u achieved overclock?
What is Cel defult voltage 2.0v ?
What do I have to bump it up to?
