I don't think that there is a software solution but I believe that there is a hardware solution. I think that there is something inside the slot1 case that you can switch to make it overclock.

Nope, sorry. Unless you have a Beta CPU, an Intel motherboard, and a copy of NEWSPEED.EXE, then there is no way to change the multiplier on locked slot-1 CPUs. I've heard cases of people managing to get wierd multipliers, like say: 2.141414..., but never completely unlocking it .

so newspeed actually works! I thought it was a hoax cuz I haven't heard of anybody who has had success with it

Mod w/ an attitude
No it can not be changed, unless you want to risk using your processor as a keychain dangle!!
Newspeed ONLY works on pre-production Engineering samples for testing purposes that have not already had the multipliers SET. You risk the chance of ruining your processor if you try running this program!

Another warning about NEWSPEED.EXE, someone decompiled it and saw that upon using it, it attempts to flash part of your BIOS. So using it might mess up your motherboard too.

LOCKED MULTIPLIERS???
Is there a software or anything I can use to unlock those multipliers that Intel LOCKED it for overclockers???
