    New to OC

    hi,

I tried to overclock my Pentium 133 upto 166 (by changing the multiplier to 2.5 with bus speed at 66). But to my dismay, when the m/c boots up ot still says that the CPU speed is 133. What I might be doing wrong ?? Help.

    Thank in advance.

Don't always believe in what the boot up screen says. Is it stable? Can you perceive any change in speed. You can run some test (Soft Sandra?) to check your cpu speed. Some older motherboard's BIOS know only up to 133. I doubt that you have a locked 133.
